Artist of the Month Nanci Worthington

Nanci Worthington is our Artist of the month for March 2023.

Nanci Worthington creates art as an environmental advocate on a tiny scale. With the practice of close observation as a naturalist and artist, drawing and painting are how she sees and understand the places where she works. Art has become a tool to explore the ecology of the environments being observed, becoming a base from which research the
science of how the elements work together. Being in nature and creating landscape art connect her to the land, merging the spirit of beauty and the information of science.
